Carton Hotel!! Review

Hi Guys,

So it's the day after the wedding and I'm sitting here my breakfast has just arrived and I have to say I have never been more angry than I am right now!!!

Ill start from the beginning...

Yesterday was my friends wedding there where a few bumps in the road like the bride being late but that's at every wedding. From checking in it was all down hill from there! I asked for a late check out which I was told was okay then I was told no I couldn't have a late check out! I asked if there was a pool to which the reply was yes we do, I was then told no they didn't have a pool after all! I was getting more confused at this stage being told yes then no at everything. After inquiring about breakfast to my room I was told a price which was fair! I just paid for my breakfast and it wasn't the price I was even at €7.95 but a shocking €29.50!!!!!! Like WTF!!!! It was disgusting!!! I just ate a sausage, a slice of toast and a cup of coffee!! So pissed off!!!!

The big problems started at the dinner!

We where seated at 6 and our meal orders where taken at around 6:15-6:30 which was good as most of us were starving. The food took hours to come out ! No joke HOURS!! And tool so long in between courses that some people actually left to go to their rooms while waiting on their next meal. The main course was served at 10-10:30!!! Over 4 hours after we ordered!! Crazy!!! The food was awful! My teeth were so sore from chewing the hard Turkey, the soup was like watered down baby food it had no taste what so ever! And desert was tasteless! I didn't even get offered tea or coffee after my desert which I always enjoy! 3 people on my table where sick over the food they had to leave before desert and go to bed they were that bad!

The staff where so rude!!! Never ever again would I stay at this hotel the way people where treated was a disgrace!!  There was security at the doors of the room watching you!! It was like they where waiting on you to mess or fight or I don't know what but it made me and everyone else feel so uncomfortable for the whole night! I wouldn't even go to the toilet as I thought I wouldn't be aloud back on it was that intimidating!

At the end of the night when everyone was heading the residents bar that's when it all kicked off!!! When you left the function room they had two tables pulled together and two security there asking for your name, room number and room card! If you hadn't got these you had to leave!!!! If you had your room number and name but not your card you couldn't pass! I understand that but It was a disgrace they way people where treated and spoken to!

The only good thing was the bed! Very comfortable I slept the minute my head hit the pillow and didn't move till I woke up.

I'm heading down to sort out my breakfast payment and to find out how it was so expensive!! And also to put in a complaint about the staff and food!!

Great for children and adults. Has a cute cafe great for a cup of tea and chat.

Review: Mane'n Tail Hair Care

Hi Guys,

So most if you will know that I have been worried about my hair over the past few weeks. From a very young age my hair has always been very thick but lately it just seamed very thin and limp. I have been looking in line for things but they have been so expensive. I had heard about the Mane'n Tale a few months ago but it never crossed my mind that I might need it, so when I seen it in Boots the other day I just knew that I had to try it!.

Mane'n Tail
From bottle:

Used by both people and horses, this exclusive, thick, rich formula with a unique action helps to maintain and achieve a longer, healthier looking mane, tail or hair. Can be used as a leave in or rinse out based on hair type and desired look. Results can be seen after one application.

Bit weary of the results after one wash! Going to leave it here and wash my hair and finish off with my thoughts and if it was any good....

Holy Jammie doggers!!!!best conditioner EVER!!!

My hair is finally back to its fuller, thicker heavier self. I am soooo happy to have my thick hair back!

While I was applying the conditioner and it just didn't seam like it was doing much so I was setting myself up for a let down. Omg!! Let me tell you when I was blow drying my hair it was like "BAMB"!!! Thick hair!! I just keep feeling my hair, I'm in shock I really didn't think it would work after just one wash! I use to hate my thick hair now I am so happy to have or back.

I only bought the conditioner but I will definitely be buying the  shampoo and an other two conditioners, I run out of conditioner after 2-3 washes as my hair is super long.

I would definitely recommend this conditioner! Big 5 Stars/High 5/ Thumps Up the lot, absolutely great stuff!

check out my post on my hair donation update.

Tk Maxx, Boots and Disney Shop Haul!!

Hi Guys,

I took a ramble over to Grafton Street today to have a look and pick up one or two things, but to mainly bring Seán over to the Disney Shop and treat him to something nice :)

His face lit up when he seen the shop it was like Christmas morning, he was super excited. It was so cute!:) He picked up a Monsters University coloring case, Monsters University Watch and a Toy Story gun.
After the Disney shop we headed into the Stephens Green Shopping Center and went into Tk Maxx. I don't usually like it but I just wanted to waste some time while the rain passed. I picked up an Elizabeth Arden Face Cleanser for only €10 was €24!! Bargain!

As we where walking home I dropped into Boots and picked up hair care products. We also stopped off at the Candy Lab sweet shop in Temple Bar an got some munchies for later when we are watching a movie.

Can't wait to try this shampoo out:)

For only €10 I couldn't pass it up.

I have always wanted to try these Jiffy pops out!

Dublin Zoo

Hi Guys,

Today myself, my mam, little brother, little  sister and Sean all went to the zoo :)
We had a great day! The weather was amazing it was pretty hot for most of the day but cooled down near the end.
We went about 11:30am and didn't leave till 5:40pm!! What a long, long day!

We spent so much time just walking around taking our time looking and learning about all the different animals. We stayed for the Elephant talk, feeding of the penguins, sea lions and giraffes. Then went off and had our own little picnic up by the Petting Farm bit. If your going to the zoo the elephant talk is pretty cool. The kids and even adults loved it, it's on at 12:30.

Everyone was so tired but the end of the day.
We stopped of at the gift shop before we left and picked up some small things.

And my fav animal of all time.....

DIY: Lemon Body Summer Scrub

Hi Guys,

I ran out of body scrub last night so I went looking on line for some diy ones (again) and found a quick and handy one that smells lovely and works a treat :) With the summer hopefully on its way I want to have my skin at its best plus I'm trying yo get myself into a routine of body scrubs and body moisturising after each shower or bath as I tend to skip the body part and just wash with a body wash but I am going to change it. :) Smooth, silky, sexy, summer skin is on the way for me lol My skin will be summer ready in no time at all :)

For your scrub you will need:

Sea Salt

Jar/Bowl

How To Make:

Mix in a bowl

Two cups of Sea Salt
One Tbs of Lemon
Half cup of Olive Oil

Mix well in a bowl and then transfer into a jar with a seal lid.
Quick and easy!

Bad Hair Day!

Hi Guys,

So it nearly 1am here and I can't sleep so I thought I'd do a little post about my hair!

I washed my hair today and it just annoyed me at how much hair was in the plug hole!! It seams to be growing pretty well but I do have some concerns with it. I have noticed that the hair along the top of my forehead and left side of it to look to be either falling out or thinning!!:( The past few weeks I have been noticing it and its been really getting me not down but just a tad concerned about it. I was thinking that maybe I should try the viviscal 3 month trail to see how my hair takes to it but when I looked it up on line it is pretty expensive and the bottles aren't that big and with my hair being so long I wouldn't get 3 weeks out of them let alone 3 months!! I'm going to go to my local chemist on the next few days and see what's out there to help my hair.

I really want my hair to be at its best for when I'm donating it. I would hate to think my hair is in bad shape and wouldn't be any good.

Ill do a full update on my hair donation soon with photos of how long it is an how much will be cut off :)

Take Care Nighty :)

Fun Filled Family Day Out in Dublin!!

Hi Guys,

Yesterday was such a great unexpected day! Every weekend I keep saying " Oh we'll go out to the farmers market and see what it's like " but we never go... Until this weekend which was the best weekend to go:)
While we where on the bus going out to St Ann's Park we seen that along Clontarf The Gathering of The Vikings was going on and decided that we'd spend a short while in the park then walk back down to the Viking event.

There is a good farmers market in St. Ann's park at the weekends with food stalls, glass wear stalls and lots of other stalls to. The park is huge a great day out for family's.

The Gathering of The Vikings was great. I think it's on once a year for one day. It's such a great day out for everyone young and old. There were so many food stalls out from sweets, ice creams, vegetarian, chipper food and BBQ food absolutely great tasting food. There was free face painting, sumo wrestling, play fighting as Vikings and bouncy castles for children of all ages.

You could see how Vikings lived, what they ate, what they wore and which tools they used on a daily basics or for fighting.

I have been looking for web sites to find out more things that are going on but can't seem to find the right one:( but if I do I'll share it with you all.

I'm feeling in the Summer Mood today.. even thought it's lashing here in Dublin ha
Apart from getting your legs ready for Summer your face is also important as we all tend to wear less of the heavy foundation or any foundation for some. Having nice clear skin is always a plus in what ever weather you have but in the summer time we always want it to be as clear as it can be.
 Healthy, glowing clear skin!

What you need:

Olive Oil
Honey
Sugar

How To Make:

 2/3 tbsp of Olive Oil
2 tbsps Honey
less than half a cup of sugar

Use on wet skin at least once a week, gently massage into face, rinse with warm water.

Keep in bathroom.
Great for sensitive skin.
