Hair Donation Update| Hair Loss

Hi Guys,

Over the past few months as you know I have been worried about my hair falling out but over the past week or so I have noticed two thinning patches of hair, a considerable amount of hair in the drain and plaits are even thinner.

I went to the doctors this morning over my concerns. I need to go back next week and get a blood test to check thyroids, to see if I'm anemic and my iron levels. I was out on iron tablets for a month to see how they go and my lively doctor told me some things that may help.

1, Use baby shampoo as its very gentle on the hair.

2, Use a wide tooth comb and try not to pull or stress the hair.

3, Don't colour my hair

4, Don't tie it up to tight and leave it down or lose as much as I can.

And 5 the one I hate the most!!

5, Cut of a lot of my hair!! Heavy hair will pull at the roots.

I am heart broken at the thought of spending two years growing my hair for such a great cause only to have to cut if all off and trow it away!! I really just can't do it, I know deep down that it is the best thing for my hair health but I just can't.

I know I should cut it all up, use baby shampoo, wide tooth comb, take iron tablets and not stress and it will probably start to grow back on a few months but there's just that little voice saying " no you've come this far, you don't have far to go, don't do it!"

I got blood tests done to see if it was caused by problems over my liver, kidneys, blood & to see if I was anemic. All my bloods came back okay no problems with anything just my iron levels where a bit low, at the end of the phone call my doctor said " honey, I think it's time you cut it" :(

So last night I made the hard decision to cut my hair!:( I'm not going to cut it up super short I'm going to get at least 5-7inchs taken off it. I'm probably going to cry gettin it cut but I'd rather give thick healthy hair to a great cause and have healthy hair on my head to. So next year I will either spend a lot more time and effort in taking care of my hair or I will do something else for charity.

Review: Mane'n Tail Hair Care

Hi Guys,

So most if you will know that I have been worried about my hair over the past few weeks. From a very young age my hair has always been very thick but lately it just seamed very thin and limp. I have been looking in line for things but they have been so expensive. I had heard about the Mane'n Tale a few months ago but it never crossed my mind that I might need it, so when I seen it in Boots the other day I just knew that I had to try it!.

Mane'n Tail
From bottle:

Used by both people and horses, this exclusive, thick, rich formula with a unique action helps to maintain and achieve a longer, healthier looking mane, tail or hair. Can be used as a leave in or rinse out based on hair type and desired look. Results can be seen after one application.

Bit weary of the results after one wash! Going to leave it here and wash my hair and finish off with my thoughts and if it was any good....

Holy Jammie doggers!!!!best conditioner EVER!!!

My hair is finally back to its fuller, thicker heavier self. I am soooo happy to have my thick hair back!

While I was applying the conditioner and it just didn't seam like it was doing much so I was setting myself up for a let down. Omg!! Let me tell you when I was blow drying my hair it was like "BAMB"!!! Thick hair!! I just keep feeling my hair, I'm in shock I really didn't think it would work after just one wash! I use to hate my thick hair now I am so happy to have or back.

I only bought the conditioner but I will definitely be buying the  shampoo and an other two conditioners, I run out of conditioner after 2-3 washes as my hair is super long.

I would definitely recommend this conditioner! Big 5 Stars/High 5/ Thumps Up the lot, absolutely great stuff!

Healthy Hair For Summer!!

Hi Guys,

With summer nearly here you can almost feel the sun on your face...Well.... not if you live in Ireland ha ha  Getting ready for summer is all about hair and your skin so I found some tips that may help get in the summer mood:)

  • Eat Healthy food: Egg, Carrots, Nuts Whole Grains and Poultry are great foods that help get healthy hair.
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type or even use a 2-in-1 once its the right one for you.
  • Massage your scalp to get the blood moving circulation is good for hair growth
  • Wash hair with warm water! Not Hot water or Cold water.
  • Don't brush hair while it wet if you have to use a wide tooth comb
  • Try to use as little heat on hair and if you are using heat use a lower setting
