Wedding|| Clontarf Castle

Hi Guys,

My friends recently got married in the stunning Clontarf Castle. It was such an amazing, beautiful & welcoming place I have very been to!

As we drove up the drive way we where greeted with this stunning huge castle lit up with lights to show off its amazing features.

When you enter the hotel there are two Knights Amours and a Grand Piano. The function room was amazingly decorated. It had a warm, romantic, soft & welcoming feel to it.

They also had some Irish Dancers who where fantastic! They had everyone up on their feet and had everyone who was there involved in the dance.

The night was full of laughs & fun. The food was amazing tiny little burgers where my high light lol the staff where so friendly & helpful they made you feel very welcome.

I'm so glad my friends had a lovely day and night they both deserved it they are a perfect match for each other. You could feel the love in the air.

It was a great night, a lovely hotel. I would definitely keep this hotel in mind if I was ever getting married. Great place only down fall I heard people saying was the rooms & drink where far to expensive.

Hair Donation|| Update Hair Loss + Hair Cut!

Hi Guys,

So the last time I did my updated Hair Donation I told you all about how it was falling out and I was on iron tablets and how my doctor told me to cut my hair off!! I found it very hard to even consider getting it cut if it wasn't for the charity! I was really upset at the thoughts of cutting it and trowing it away after spending over 2 years growing it for a charity that I truly wanted to help just made my heart ache, but in the end after talking to family & friends and even after that it took me two weeks to finally say " okay, I need to do this and take better care of my hair and myself & I can always  do something else for the charity" it killed me knowing I was cutting it but knew it was for the best.

Last week I went to the hair dressers and explained to her why I was cutting so much hair off, why it was so long, what I was planning on doing with it and I asked for some tips on how to take care of it.

While she was cutting the back of my hair I was fine but as soon as she start cutting the front and I could see my lovely hair was gone I think reality hit and I realized that I had made the right choice and it was best for me but I just felt my heart beating so fast and I started to panic a bit. It's mad how attached we get to our hair lol

I'm really happy with my hair I really love it, it looks a lot more healthier and stronger & I think it suits me more:)

But the kicker... The biggest kick in the teeth of all time!!

My hair wasn't even falling out!!!! It was breaking!! After it being cut my hair dresser looked at my roots and said that my hair was breaking half way up and wasn't falling out from the root, that with a bit of care, a good trim and more of a healthier diet with plenty of water my hair would have been okay:((((

But I'm not one to cry about it! It's done and that's it, no point in saying " Oh if she noticed it sooner or all the what if's "
I'm going to organize something nice for charity to raise money for them, my hair my be gone but not my love for helping.

I'm going to have more fun with my hair now and not be afraid to change it up, so get ready to see some crazyish lol hair colour :)

xXx

This is an old pic my hair had grown a bit more probably about 2-3 more inches it was down to my hip by the time I was getting it cut.

The new Do!! ;-) Really liking it might get an inch or 2 off it again. Feels and looks healthier.

Hair Donation Update| Hair Loss

Hi Guys,

Over the past few months as you know I have been worried about my hair falling out but over the past week or so I have noticed two thinning patches of hair, a considerable amount of hair in the drain and plaits are even thinner.

I went to the doctors this morning over my concerns. I need to go back next week and get a blood test to check thyroids, to see if I'm anemic and my iron levels. I was out on iron tablets for a month to see how they go and my lively doctor told me some things that may help.

1, Use baby shampoo as its very gentle on the hair.

2, Use a wide tooth comb and try not to pull or stress the hair.

3, Don't colour my hair

4, Don't tie it up to tight and leave it down or lose as much as I can.

And 5 the one I hate the most!!

5, Cut of a lot of my hair!! Heavy hair will pull at the roots.

I am heart broken at the thought of spending two years growing my hair for such a great cause only to have to cut if all off and trow it away!! I really just can't do it, I know deep down that it is the best thing for my hair health but I just can't.

I know I should cut it all up, use baby shampoo, wide tooth comb, take iron tablets and not stress and it will probably start to grow back on a few months but there's just that little voice saying " no you've come this far, you don't have far to go, don't do it!"

I got blood tests done to see if it was caused by problems over my liver, kidneys, blood & to see if I was anemic. All my bloods came back okay no problems with anything just my iron levels where a bit low, at the end of the phone call my doctor said " honey, I think it's time you cut it" :(

So last night I made the hard decision to cut my hair!:( I'm not going to cut it up super short I'm going to get at least 5-7inchs taken off it. I'm probably going to cry gettin it cut but I'd rather give thick healthy hair to a great cause and have healthy hair on my head to. So next year I will either spend a lot more time and effort in taking care of my hair or I will do something else for charity.

First Day Of School | Night Before

Hi Guys,

I can not believe that my little baby boy is going to Primary School tomorrow! He's growing up so fast, I can't wait to see him in his little uniform. He'll be so grown up in his little jumper and tie with his little shirt and shoes, I know I'll be snap happy with the camera. Proud mammy moments just make me want to have a house full of children.

Seán is so excited to be starting " Big Boy " school, every morning he wakes up he counts down the days till he can go back and finally the day is finally here.

Today we went the park and off for something to eat then for ice cream. Tonight I'm going to give him a nice long bath with some Lavender Baby Bubble Bath, have his favourite dinner ( turkey dinosaurs, beans, mash & gravy ) and watch a film or two till bed time then we'll read a book and its off to the land of dreams:) Today Seán's little cousins got him a " FirstDay of Big School " gift and some lovely hand made cards:))

I have about 3 alarms set just incase I sleep it out! Lol Short post to follow tomorrow on the morning of :) So excited its a weird kinda feeling of happiness, excitement, sad, pride, sick... Everything!

Fitness: Swap This For That

Hi Guys,

By swapping some simple foods and making more healthier choices you can stay on track with your healthy eating and weight loss. Simple small swaps can make a huge difference. Fats, Calories, Protein and Carbs all need to be balanced.

Small changes:

Milk Chocolate FOR Dark Chocolate

Blue Cheese Dressing FOR Honey Mustard Dressing

Fizzy Drinks  FOR Water

Sugary Cereal FOR Muesli

White Rice FOR Brown Rice

Potatoes FOR Sweet Potatoes

Coffee FOR Green Tea

There are so many more changes you can make most of it is just common sense. Drinking plenty of water instead of coke and tea will do a world of good, its the small things that can help make big changes.

What To Bring: Short Haul Carry On

Hi Guys,

Is it just me or is it hard to pack a carry on?? I can pack a big suit case with a weeks worth of clothes but ask me to pack a carry on for a weekend away on a a short flight and my mind goes blank!!

Whether it be a large handbag or a small carry on hand luggage  we always pack things that we don't need or for just in cases that we never use. Most of the stuff we pack are always just to keep us busy and to keep your mind off the flight weather it long or short. Besides all you normal stuff you pack like passport, medication, boarding pass and money i will add a few things that i have brought with me when travelling.

In Bag:

magazines
snack
Lip Balm
Deodorant
Wipes ( face, body, anti-bacterial)
Ipod, phone, kindle- anything you use
Ear Phones
Camera
Socks
Make up

A change of clothes would come in handy to if your going from a hot country to a cold one or vice verse or even if your luggage gets lost or delayed and you have no clothes for a day or two. Better safe than sorry.

Every ones carry ons are different some people might just carry a book and snack and that's it! While others carry a full bag with make up, laptops, books, sweets, clothes, shoes everything but the kitchen sink ha Add or take things away its just a little help to some who need it.

Fitness: Peanut Butter Cookies

Hi Guys,

I know when the evenings start getting darker and night draws in I always want to eat and pick at things!! I always go for toast, biscuits, crisps... anything I can get my hands on then two minute's later I feel like sh*t!! To help me stop all the bad eating habits at night I am going to try and snack on some more healthy foods!

Peanut Butter Cookies

2 eggs
2 cups of peanut butter

Mix all in a bowl, then use an electric mixer to smooth batter. Take some of the mixture and roll into small balls and place on backing tray. Use a fork to flatten each cookie.
Place into a pre heated oven at 180-190 degree celsius for 15-20 minutes.
Leave to cool for around 10 minutes.

Low on carbs, healthy snack, high in healthy fats and good protein.
Snack on when ever your cravings hit.
