Next, Lush, Penny's and JD Haul!!

Hi Guys,

I did a bit a shopping today mainly for my friends baby's birthday but I picked up some things for my son as well.

I just love Next for kids clothes. They are great quality, wash great, keep their colour and have a great range to select from. I'm going back up during the week to pick up a few more bits but thought I'd share what I got so far.

I also stopped at the Sweet Shop in Cleary's to pick up some sweets and a toffee gift for someone, it's so cool you get a small hammer to break it apart :)

I got a lovely set of clothes in Tesco brown chinos, biscuit colour top and short sleeve demin shirt all lovely on together.

For my friends baby I got him a set of Mr.Men pjs in Tesco, T shirt in Next ( need bottoms and coat to go with it ) and a set from Debnahams. Ill pick him up a few more bits and a small toy to.

Blog Changes!!

Hi Guys,

So I have made a few changes to my blog.

I want my blog to attract more people as I'd like to share things and not feel like I'm just talking to myself. I changed the blog title from: Allthingsglossy to Danielle's Beauty Blog which sounds a lot better and I think it gives it a much more personal feel to it too. I have also changed the URL from lifeandglossy to jellybeansbeauty I might changed it again but I don't know yet. I want something that will stand out and something that will stay in people's minds after they have left the blog.

I would also like to thank every one from the bottom of my heart who has read my even if it was just a passing thing or if you have came back for more of my random nonsense:) Thank you so much over 4000 views its just great.

I have a lot of scheduled posts on there way plus a lot more that I need to write up, I am trying to add a lot more different posts from reviews which I have a lot ready to, DIY's, fashion, bloggers/you-tubers that I love and many more...

I'd love to design a nice header or even the whole blog. I'm kinda tired its just after 2am so I know that half of what I'm saying will most likely make no sence at all :)

Review: Illamasqua Nail Varnish

Hi Guys,

Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Radium.

Not a colour for everyone but I have to say It has grown on me since the first time i seen it, its a great Spring - Summer colour i think or even for nights out where you want your nails to be funky. 

Doesn't ship easily, lasts a long time on nails got nearly a week out of it before my first chip which is great for mammy's lol 

I myself applied 3 coats of this varnish to get the maximum out of the colour, its such a full coverage, bright impact colour for your nails. One of the nicest varnishes i have ever used. 

I cant see myself buying this varnish again as it is on the pricey side but if i got it as a gift id be a happy girl :)

Sleek True Color Lipstick

I just love sleek ever since I bought some of their products in Liverpool last year. 

Their True Colour Lipstick in Cherry

The packaging is so classic looking it looks so expensive :)

Goes on super easy, creamy, long lasting, moisturizing and full of colour once on lips.

Be sure to scrub and moisture your lips before you apply this lip stick as it will show up every cracked nit of skin on your lips. 

I would love to try some more of there products and different colours of their lip sticks!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the packaging for Avon's lipsticks they are so sleek and classic looking!

This lipstick is the only one I have ever tried from Avon and I'm so in love with it its just such a great every day colour.

Its long lasting, smooth, creamy

A great natural pink colour, great for days were you just want to put on some lippy apply some mascara and leave. 

Nothing bad to say only in some lighting it can give a washed out kinda look but other wise its just great.

Weird Fun Facts About Me!!

Hi Guys,

So I know that I don't really give much information about myself on my blog which can seam a bit cold and that is the complete opposite of the person that I am. I really am a nice person lol :)

I try to keep photos of myself of the Internet as I'm not confident about how I look, body wise. I also haven't shared my sons name which I don't know why but I always just seam to call him by the little name's I have for him. We have cute names we call each other like Jelly Bean, Monkey, Munchkin, Chicken Nugget all weird fun names that we call each other, my son's name is Seán :)) he is my whole world x

So here are some weird fun facts about myself!!:)

1. I have hammer flip toes!! Basically my baby toes over laps the toe beside it on both feet!! Creepy!!

2. I looooove cheese!! I shouldn't eat it with my migrains but it's just so tasty. Toasted Cheese is my weakness

3. I am a huge Tea lover! Give me a cup of tea and ill be you best friend lol

4. I love Disney movies!

5. I once dipped my popcorn into red sauce... It was nice but so weird!!

6. I have to tuck the duvet under my feet or I can't sleep!

7. I'm a chocoholic ;)

8. I love crime dramas!! 6 times out of 10 I can pick the killer!

9. I hate the Sun!! Give me rain everyday and I'd be happy lol weird I know but there's just something so soothing about the noise of rain. Being Irish is a great bonus with sh*tyy weather lol ;)

10. I hate the smell and taste of coffee but I love star bucks mochas!!

11. I hate toes!! They freak me out I hate anyone touching mine I just can't bare it they are like tiny fingers on your feet!

12. I wore make up for the first time at the age of 17!

13. I didn't pluck my caterpillar brows till I was 20!! I was like a new person after it :)

14. I love love love.... Love Heart Sweets!! When myself and my son have a pack we read what they say and then give each other the cutest one we have lol :) ill add a pic if you don't know what they are :)

15. I can not tell a joke to save my life! I always laugh right when it gets to the punch line I'm so useless with jokes lol :) I can do knock knock jokes but not any other ones :)



I can't think of anymore but I do have a lot and I mean a lot of weird things that I do ;)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Effect and Radiant Glow Concealer (010 ivory)

I always have black under eye circles and this concealer just seams to work wonders for them. it really does give a awake effect to your eyes but its not so good with covering up red marks/spots on the skin.

The texture is so light, smooths, silky and so easy to apply. A little bit goes a long way with this concealer. 

They also have a foundation to match! 

I will definitely be re-buying.

Review: Lush Bubble Gum Lip Scrub

I have one word..... YUMMY!!!!!!

Oh My Word does this smell SO  tasty and delicious.

Id buy just for the smell alone ha 

Great for getting rid of dry peeling skin from your lips, leaves your lips so smooth and soft after the first use. Try using a small soft toothbrush and use in small circles movements to give an even better finish.

After I use it I apply some lip balm to keep my lips soft and smooth for longer. 

Scrubs are great for blood circulation and with scrubbing your lips it can give a plumper affect to them.

Great size for keep in your make up easy twist off lid. I try not to use it as often as it is a bit on the pricey side for such a small jar.

March GlossyBox!!

This is my first glossy box in a few months I didn't bother getting it for a while i just got feed up getting perfume samples and wrinkle creams. I'm so happy that I have decided to get it again I love this months box:)

For months maybe a year or more ( not sure ) I have been hearing everyone rave on and on about the famous Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and how great is for this and that yadda yadda yadda....

It was hyped up that I wasn't sure if I even wanted to buy it, when something sounds to good to be true it probably is and that was what I thought about the cream!
 Oh Boy! Was I wrong... The minute I opened the box and seen it lying there I tried it out straight away on my lips!! It left them feeling sooo super soft I cant wait to buy the full size now, one try and I'm hooked :)

This is one of the best eye liners that I have ever used!

Its so creamy and smooth give a great Matt black smooth finish. Whether its a thin line or a winged out cat eye your after you will achieve it with the great small brush you get with it. The brush is so handy and small to fix in your make up bag, its so easy to use and give a great line. 

The only down falls are:

But I still love it id buy again but I will also look around for something similar!

My friend got this at the same time as me and she has no problems with it what so ever! It didn't smudge or move from her eyes so it really just depends on your skin type doesn't sit well with oily skin!

Beauty: Favourite Nail Polish!!

I'm just about to paint my nails and thought I'd do a top 3-5 favorite of my favorite polishes!!

I have about 2 boxes full up with nail polishes new and old that I should really sort out soon.

Personal: Photo Album!!

Hi Guys,

So I am spending my Saturday sorting out all of the stuff I keep in a box in my bedroom! In this box I have photos, school reports, medals, cards, gift bags, paintings anything and everything is in this box plus two more ha

I have been meaning to put all my sons paintings, photos, certs and anything else from Montessori or Kinder garden that He has brought home. I also found a few photos that I have put into a photo album and I want to print some off from my phone. Why is it that you take better photos with your phone then with a camera?...

Cant wait to print them off and finally have a nice family album to show off :)

Looking back at photos of when my son was born to a few months old and now, just brings tears to my eyes, I just cant get over how fast time has gone by but he'll always be my little baby boy in my eyes and heart.

I have seen so many stars like Beyonce, Rihanna and Kirstin Stewart wearing these rings, they just look so chic, rocker, girly, statement..... any look you want there is one for you, if you want a  statement ring or just a dainty ring you can find one for every fashion statement you want.

Primark/Penny's Haul!!

Hi Guys,

Just sharing a quick haul I did the other day. I didn't get much just some small things from penny's and Hickey's.

In Hickey's I got some different colour zips, matching tread and "Designed with Love" labels, for some make up bags that I will be making. I just need to get some leatherette, fabric, studs and lining.

I didn't get much in penny's just some under wear, runners, tops and swim shorts and bath you net for my son and a light spring peace colour blouse for my self.

Skull Dresses!!

Hi Guys,

I was into this morning with my Mam and we seen some lovely dresses in a small shop in the Ilac Center.

We never go into it so we never knew what kind of clothes they had. They have lovely stuff! My Mam got a few tops and a jumper and I got two lovely skull dresses.

The skull dresses where €10 each like most of the clothing items in the shop. They are quite small fitting but do have a lovely quality feel to them, they are well worth the money.

I got a long short sleeve dark pink dress and a shortish long sleeve white dress.

Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1 Skin Perfecting Super Make Up!! Review..

If you cant tell from the extra long title ;) I'm doing a short review on the Rimmel BB Cream.

As you know I am not a fan of BB creams but I for reasons unknown really like this one! I have found my self using it every day with out even realizing it.

It was super easy for me to pick a shade that matched my skin, it has good staying power and good coverage with an added bonus of SPF 25. It doesn't cover everything but still has a a good deal of coverage.

The 9 things that it says it does are:

1. Primes 
2. Moisturises
3. Minimises Porse
4. Conceals 
5. Covers
6. Smooths 
7. Mattifies
8. Brigtens 
9. Helps to protect skin

I only seen two shades in the shop which where light and medium so I am not sure if they do a dark, sorry.

Its definitely worth a try!

BB Creams!!

Hi Guys,

I know BB creams have been out for a hell of long time but I didn't really like them till now! I'm still not a huge of them as I think they a just the same as any tinted moisturiser with one or two things added in. I do like the Rimmel one a lot I don't know what it is I just keep using it each morning :)

They are very similar to tinted moisturiser just with a bit more staying power, most of the BB creams I have seen have added in primers, moisturisers, concealers, foundations and even sun block!

My Mothers Day!!

Hi Guys,

So this year was the first time I celebrated Mothers Day, even with my son being nearly 5 I just never seen the point in it. I have always spent the day doing fun family things like going the Zoo or bowling instead of going out.

I had such a great day it was one of the best days ever. Myself, my Mam, my lovely Nana, my aunt and my little sister and cousin all went for a meal in the lovely Luigi's Malone's over in Temple Bar. It has to be one of my favourite places to go for food I could live on their chicken wings and blue cheese sauce....yummy!! :) All the mammy's got a rose after the meal it was such a nice little gift to receive. After the meal we went to a sweet shop and my little sister got a Wonka bar she was so chuffed that she had a chocy bar from a movie.

After the meal my mam, nanny and I all went out for some drinks to finish up the day.It was great being out having fun with all the lovely lady's in my life:) Its a mothers day that I wont be forgetting anytime soon, I'm so blessed to have such a great family around me.

Tips On Looking After Your Clothes!!

Hi Guys,

I am so easy going when it comes to taking care of your clothes but I am trying:)

Here are a few tips that might come in handy for you and if you have any other tips please don't be shy and share :)

Don't use wire hangers from the dry cleaners- they will leave you with misshapened and heavily creased clothes.

When hanging/storing clothes in wardrobe- empty pockets and hang on solid wooden or plastic hangers.

 

Keep dark Deming's like new by washing  them inside out and in cold water

Always read the tag/label to make sure you wash them properly

Always wash your whites on their own! One stray sock and it's Bye Bye white!

Mothers Day Body Prep!!

Hi Guys,

I haven't been well at all today so I thought I'd get a start on my pampering for Mother's Day. I don't usually make of fuss of it but seeing as I'm going out I thought I might as well make the effort :)

So firstly I....

Had a shower and exfoliated my body

Shaved!

washed my face

After my shower I put on my bath robe and....

Apply face mask

Wash off

Pluck my brows

Trow cold water on my face

Pat dry

Apply creams and eye cream

Then when that's all done...

Apply body moisturize

Put in pj's and fluffy socks

Paint nails all 20 of them :)

Tomorrow the only things that I will add to my pamper list is wash my hair, add a conditioning hair mask, use lip scrub, cleanse,tone and moisturize my face and probably straighten my hair.

I still don't know what I'm doing with my hair but ill do an OOTD post so you can check it out:)

Smooth Sexy Legs!!

Hi Guys,

So seeing as I'm going out on Sunday I thought that I would go the whole hog and do a full body MOT lol I have made a promice with my self to spend Saturday night pampering myself for Sunday and the first of the Many Many things that is on my list is my crazy hairy legs lol (Joke) they aren't that bad ha ;)

So to get my sexy legs here is what I plan on doing.....

After my shower, body and face is all down with whatever needs doing to them,

I am going to exfoilate my legs

Give them a good wash with Dove Body Wash

Lather them with shaving gel

Take my time shaving them to make sure I get all the little ones hiding and go with the growth

Rainse off let over foam

Pat dry

Apply moisturizer or oil

Then before bed add a little bit more moisturizer to legs and......

TA-DA..... Smooth Sexy Legs on a Sunday :)

Summer Ready Skin!!

I'm on such a summer buzz this week you'll be sick of ready about it at this stage lol
These tips wont just help for summer time but for all year round when you want your skin to look its best. The smallest things can make a difference even just drinking a bit more water!!

Healthy Hair For Summer!!

With summer nearly here you can almost feel the sun on your face...Well.... not if you live in Ireland ha ha  Getting ready for summer is all about hair and your skin so I found some tips that may help get in the summer mood:) 

• Eat Healthy food: Egg, Carrots, Nuts Whole Grains and Poultry are great foods that help get healthy hair.
• Drink plenty of water
• Use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type or even use a 2-in-1 once its the right one for you.
• Massage your scalp to get the blood moving circulation is good for hair growth
• Wash hair with warm water! Not Hot water or Cold water.
• Don't brush hair while it wet if you have to use a wide tooth comb
• Try to use as little heat on hair and if you are using heat use a lower setting

Boots, New Look, Penny's/Primark and Lush Haul!!

I picked up a few things in town today not the items that I needed but some small things that I have been meaning to get for a while now like vitamin jellies, concealer and other small things. I went I to town with the sole purpose of getting a dress and shoes for Sunday! I Couldn't find a thing:( going to go back up town tomorrow on my own after class an have a good look in every shop I can think of going to.

All Talk No Action!!

Hi Guys,

Today it finally hit me that I am " All Talk " I say I'm going to this and that,  

I go out and buy everything to it and then.... I don't!! 

I have spent so much money on crappy diets, boot camps, gyms, fitness DVDs, special walking runners..... I have finally realised that I am wasting my time, money and life on trying new fab diets and even healthy eating and when I say " healthy eating" I mean I eat healthy for a meal or two then cheat!! 

And right now I'm feed up with my self, the last diet I was on which was 4 weeks ago I lost 1st 3 lbs and every lb of that is back on!!! I felt so happy when I hit that stone loss I couldn't have been any happier and now...Well I'm back to being the same old lazy fart I was at the start!!

From Monday I will be starting a full on proper healthy eating plan which I am going to stick to I'm not going to join a boot camp or a gym I am simply going to do a 30min walk in the morning and a 30min bike ride in the evening and nothing else for the first 2 weeks. 

I need to be strict with myself I am sooo lazy and greedy when it comes to food and exercising!

But That has to end I need to set a good example for my son as hes nearly 5 now!!

I have started last week drinking 2-3 liters of water a day and spending more time playing in the park a walking around with my son so I'm on the right track plus I have had no junk food or take aways or fizzy drinks in a week or two. 

I need to think positive and stay on track!

Tips For Healthy Lashes!!

Hi Guys,

So since I lost most of my lashes around christmas time due to false lashes I have been looking for tips to get them back to the way they where and found some pretty good tip's on-line.

I hope you find them helpful :)

1. Take off your mascara each night before bed, a build up of new mascara over day old mascara can cause your lashes to fall out.
2. After taking off your mascara apply to both upper and lower lashes either some Vaseline, Castor Oil, Olive Oil or even some Baby Oil this will help to moisturise your lashesto keep them strong.
3. Rubbing your eyes can also lossen your lashes so try to avoid rubbing them.
4. Brush your lashes in the morning just lie you would your hair each day just give them a quick comb before adding any mascara.
5. Try to curl your lashes less often as some curler can squeeze your lashes to hard which will cause them to fall out, Don't curl to close to lash line.

Finally Rihanna's collection is now available to buy in stores and on-line:)))) Some of the line I don't really like but over all I think she has done an amazing job!

 Between her Mac Make Up Collection and her clothing line she is just unreal!!

I haven't been in town for a few days so I really can't wait to go up to River Island and check out the clothes in person.

"First" Mothers Days!!

Hi Guys,

So even though my little munchkin is nearly 5 years old!!! Where does the time go!!:(
I have never celebrated Mothers Day! I think it's just a big gimmick like Valentines Day... But anyways this year my aunt my lovely one and only stunning aunt has organised a dinner for myself, my lovely mammy, my tought as old boots nanny and other members of our family:) it will be my first time to be out on Mothers Day.

I'm not a huge drinker I very very rarely drink even if I'm at party's it would be like one or two vodkas or just 7up for the night That's just me!:(

But... I have made a promise that for once I will let myself have fun and not worry about anything and enjoy my life while I'm young:)

Going shopping on Friday for an outfit so I will be doing an OOTD on Mothers Day for you all.

For the past few weeks now I have wanted to dye my hair, I either want to go a lighter brown with some blond or a crazy colour. 

Seeing as I can't cut my hair just yet I want to do something new with it as it pretty boring having the same hair colour and cut for over a year. 

While on-line looking up different colours I noticed that some stars are dying their lovely bright hair DARK!! Why??

With Spring finally here its kinda like they are going back wards as most people dye their hair brighter instead of darker in spring!
