My weight loss

Hi Guys,

This is a quick ramble post on How I lost 19lbs!!!! Amazing!!!!

Like most of you know I joined Slimming World and like everything I didn't think I'd stick with it but after the first 3 weeks I started to see a change in myself. Not in weight or size just my mind set. For the first time EVER I could see myself at my target weight and that has motivated me so much.

I'm still to this day months on Slimming World shocked and amazed at how much food I can eat and lose weight!! Like potatoes, pasta, rice, bread, chocolate, pizza, sweets...you name it can eat it! It's not a diet... It's a lifestyle change!!

Food I eat:

Yummy Spicy Chicken Pizza

Cheese Burger with Bacon

Spinach Omelette with bacon and beans

Sweets.... :)

Cold tuna pasta with spinach and corn

Yogurt, fruit and sweets with a bar

To Die For!!! Yummy Taco Chips!!

Loving everything that I make in Slimming World but what I'm loving the most is seeing how far I have come, it's one of the bet decisions I have ever made in my life and one I certainly won't regret.

Some achievements:)

My stay at The Sheraton Hotel, Athlone.

Hi Guys,

When I was booking to stay at The Sheraton Hotel the site had so many amazing photos on it I was super excited to stay there after seeing the photos but still reserved as I wasn't sure what was in Athlone.

From the out side the Hotel didn't quite look like the website but still looked good. It has a lovely reception area and a very nice bar. After getting are room keys we where given some rather confusing directions to our floor. We stayed in the tower part of the hotel, which I was told was one of the quite parts.

To get to our rooms we had to:

Take the lift to the second floor
Walk through a long glass walk way
Walk through a corridor
Turn left
Get in an other lift
Go up to the 8th floor
And bobs ya uncle your at your door!

Then to go to the shopping center you walked around reception and get an other lift to -1 which left you in a restaurant, that was in the shopping center.

The rooms where lovely but for the price that I payed I was expecting something a bit more!

Lovely view of the River

Bed was freaking huge! Very comfortable but didn't sleep well.

Loved the bathroom :)

Loved the fact that there was a fridge already in the room so I didn't have to ring up for one, put my cans of diet coke and mullet light yogurts in it :)
Super handy

The gym was pretty good to, the treadmills had touch screens and where easy to use, they had a few weight machines and a weight area with dumbbells, I didn't see the pool but people said it was lovely and the water was nice warm and clean.

The breakfast want the best! The sausages were very small and skinny, raw on one side an half done on the other, there wasn't the much to choose from at the buffet all that was there was, scrambled egg, sausages, rashers, sauté potatoes, pudding and mushrooms, I was hoping for beans, fried eggs, pouched eggs. The cold breakfast hasn't got that much choice either the fruit section had barely anything there, 3 choices of cereal and tiny croissants and muffins. After our breakfast was nearly gone we where then only asked if we wanted tea and toast, then the toast was cold. We didn't enjoy our breakfast so we didn't have dinner or our breakfast the second day.

The price of the hotel and what we got where way off the standards that should have been! For such a nice hotel that promises so much it was such a let down.

A closer look of the view from the window

Weekend away in Athlone

Hi Guys,

I was away at the weekend and stayed in the beautiful Sheraton Hotel down in Athlone. Ill do a review on the hotel after this post.

I wasn't to keen on going to Athlone as I haven't heard anyone say anything about going there or ever been there before. It's such a quite town, I didn't do any shopping as there wasn't that much there to get. To be honest I was a bit board by 4 o clock on the first day. The town was mostly made up of small pubs, bars and clubs, with a few shops and two shopping centers. The night life was okay we did a pub crawl on the first night and just stayed in the Shamrock Bar the second night we got free cocktails there which were amazing!! :)

The second day was just like the first everyone slept late had breakfast then slept again till dinner I was left on my own ( I don't sleep in the day ) so I went on a walk around and found a lovely park beside the River ( Shannon?) and the Athlone Castle and did a small bit in the hotels gym.

I brought some of my Slimming World food with me because I didn't want to go to over board on the weekend.

It was a very quite weekend away which I don't mind but at the same time would have loved some excitement! I'm heading to Liverpool the start of May for a hens so I know that will be jam packed full of fun an excitement :)
